"Purple Smoke World"
Words and Music by Hair Knight
Appears on Troubled Children
Like a mirror underground, there is a tree on the
horizon of a world symmetrical to our own.
When the cephlaclasm comes, it will all be destroyed, so I'm gonna tell
you 'bout my home.
The sky is a myriad of pink and purple smoke. The lightning is deafingly
silent.
The people who live here are few and close. No one can remember how to
be violent.
And it doesn't really matter, no, it doesn't matter if
the purple smoke world turns to dust.
The only way to find it is to see the man behind it. (A secret reserved
for the two of us.)
So if you agree, I hope that you will see that the purple smoke world is
the place to be.
Music's in the air and love is everywhere. All the
perfect people have children.
When the children grow up, they will pass on the customs to the children
of the children of the children.
I'd like to be there. You're in there somewhere.
Well, um.
That's all I can remember and no one can stand to listen to this song
again to catch the lyrics.
I am particularly proud of the word "cephlaclasm," however,
which I fabricated to complete the 30 word requirement for an Etymology
assignment in high school. The definition is "spontaneous explosion
of the brain."
The use of the word
"deafingly" is just poor grammar.
