"House Of Straw"
Words and Music by Hair Knight
Appears on Bridge & Snakes

Lady Liberty opened her eyes and focused on The East.
All she saw were memorials to thinkers long deceased.
So she raised her hands to heaven and began to pray,
"Let there be a whole new world to face the coming day!"

She said, "Let me in your House Of Straw or I will blow it down!
There's a light at the end of the tunnel for all to see.
Let me in your house of straw or I will blow it down!
And the walls will fall. Everyone will see."

Ideologies changed hands like a jester chessman's pawn.
Everybody sat and blinked as they faced the brand new dawn.
And promises were broken as fast as promises were made.
Lady Liberty sat and wept as she watched the new parade.

She said, "Let me in your House Of Straw or I will blow it down!
There's a light at the end of the tunnel for all to see.
Let me in your house of straw or I will blow it down!
And the walls will fall. Everyone will see."

And statues that have fallen will be replaced by new
Statues of the New World Masters Of Peace that will ensue.

She said, "Meet me in your House Of Brick Fortified with Hope.
There's a light at the end of the tunnel for all to see.
Meet me in your house of brick. Together we will cope.
Adn the walls will fall. Everyone will see.
