"New Jerusalem"

Appears on Pish Posh
From Zaire to Madagascar, we felt the winds of change.
In actions circumstantial no mortal could arrange.
So, gathering belongings, we set out on the way.
Nights lit with constellations. I heard our leader say,
"We'll meet in New Jerusalem upon the Zion mountain.
We'll gather all at Calvary and drink deep from the fountain.
We'll contemplate our differences. Eternal retribution.
We'll meet in New Jerusalem. Infinite Solution."
We rode till we reached the ocean. Safe passage guaranteed
By the man we called our captain. A man of foul deed.
Mutiny struck at the dateline. Navigator held at bay.
When we reached the bloody beaches, navigator turned my way.
"We'll meet in New Jerusalem upon the Zion mountain.
We'll gather all at Calvary and drink deep from the fountain.
We'll contemplate our differences. Eternal retribution.
We'll meet in New Jerusalem. Infinite Solution."
As we trod cross eastern Asia, saw the plague had landed here.
No help from the local people. Villagers are filled with fear.
When we came upon the temple with a gift of sandalwood,
Crucifix hung round our shoulders would do us little good.
"We'll meet in New Jerusalem upon the Zion mountain.
We'll gather all at Calvary and drink deep from the fountain.
We'll contemplate our differences. Eternal retribution.
We'll meet in New Jerusalem. Infinite Solution."
When we reached our destination, there was no blight to be
found.
Entered the inner sanctum, laid our weapons on the ground.
Looked into the face of heaven. Looked into the face of hell.
You best choose well.
"We'll meet in New Jerusalem upon the Zion mountain.
We'll gather all at Calvary and drink deep from the fountain.
We'll contemplate our differences. Eternal retribution.
We'll meet in New Jerusalem. Infinite Solution."
